German Shorthair Pointer:
Calli is a beautiful-looking German shorthaired pointer. She is owned by my middle son Jacob and his wife Paige. Calli is a wonderful family dog with a great personality. This young pup is well on her way to becoming an excellent hunter. Calli was pointing at wings, birds, bugs, and just about everything else by 8 weeks. Calli has an excellent nose and honors, points, and retrieves to hand.

Shorthair Pointer Hunting Style:
Calli has a great nose. She has been hunting grouse and pheasants with our other German shorthair pointers since she was four months old. The pointing instinct is extremely strong in this young shorthair. Her whole body just quivers when she locks up on point. Calli is a very intelligent dog who learns quickly. She was retrieving live birds by 3 months of age. Calli has lived somewhat of a pampered life. She is literally my son and daughter-in-law's little baby.

We are not a shorthair puppy factory. We do not have a litter of German shorthaired pointer puppies every year. Our German shorthair puppies for sale are the product of years of selective breeding practices. Our Shorthair puppies make fabulous family pets and great hunting companions. The majority of our German shorthair pointer puppies for sale are sold before they are born. Our breeding pairs are selected based on their calmness, pointing instincts, and body structure.

Calli is a great family-house dog. I don't think I have ever seen a puppy with so many play toys. She might be a bit on the spoiled side, spending all of her life indoors, but this little puppy has the potential to become a great bird hunter. She made her first solo point and retrieve this past fall while pheasant hunting with three of our older dogs. Calli found the bird all on her own. She was only 5 months old. It will be interesting to see how her hunting style improves in the years to come.
