The Brainerd Lakes cabin is only one mile away from a trailhead parking lot of the Paul Bunyan Walking & Biking Trail. The Bunyan has the nicest paved walking trail in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Its paved trail is also excellent for biking and rollerblading. Few Brainerd cabin rentals are so ideally located for biking and walking enthusiasts.

Brainerd Lakes Cabin Rentals:
The Paul Bunyan trail follows the same path the old railroad line once used to bring tourists to vacation at Brainerd cabin rentals. This was the only method to vacation in the Brainerd Lakes Area in the early 1900s. The current trail is about sixty miles long and runs between Brainerd and Walker MN. The best section of the Paul Bunyan Trail starts at the Brainerd cabin rentals located at Train Bell Resort in Merrifield MN and runs north to Lower Cullen Lake in Nisswa MN. This section of the Bunyan brings hikers past the lakes of North Long, Hubert, and Clark on their way to Nisswa. Guests staying at our Brainerd cabin rental can also hike on the many walking trails running through the woods of our rental cabin's property. These trails connect to the Merrifield Trail located on the far eastern edge of our Brainerd cabin property.

There are several other hiking trails close to our Brainerd Lakes cabin rental. They are maintained as hiking trails throughout the spring, summer, and fall but then they are converted into snowmobile trails for the winter. Cabin guests can access the Merrifield trail through the woods behind our Brainerd rental cabin but the trail is only open to snowmobiles during the winter months. Brainerd cabin rental guests without snowmobiles should stay off this trail in the winter.
